A cake ( Click here for the Recipe)dedicated to the owner of this very "Apple", Mr. Steve Jobs. RIP!
Today is a very ironic day for me as it is a combination of a sad day plus a very happy day .Let me start with the sad post and end it on a happy note.

Today is the day , two years back the co-founder and the former CEO of "Apple" corp. , Mr. Steve Jobs passed away after a tough battle with Pancreatic cancer .

We (My hubby and I) are big fans of Steve Job , the simple yet super creative genius who revolutionized the personal computing enriching and uplifting our lives to a totally new level and making us iPeople and our planet an iPlanet.

Computers/laptops/tablets etc we use at ease nowadays, reminds me every time how much we owe him.

Steve job was not to mention the father of the digital revolution , a phenomenal fearless determined innovator & inventor, a true visionary, a perfectionist, in all an unforgettable inspiring legend of the iEra.

In His sweet memories...This cake represents that..
His ultimate inventions and make over to the Computing industry, the telecommunication industry, the music industry and the entertainment/animation industry is merely mind blowing and he was indeed like the Gandhi ji's saying,"Be the change you wish to see in the world."

He of course build a billion dollar valuable company, Apple & spectacular products  that changed the world but what really inspired me was how he dropped out of college , did not even complete his education properly and his humble approach of starting a company right at his home from his garage and worked hard to make it a huge hit iCompany of the digital age and even he was fired  from the company he built himself and then how he bounced back and regained his baby,Apple eventually.I guess he knew what he was doing all the way. A grand master indeed !!

His out of the box thinking is something that is also so praiseworthy.

The reason he dropped out of college was I read that he did not like the subjects and moreover he felt like it was going to be a financial burden on his parents who in fact adopted him and he literally admired them more than his own biological parents.
Apple print out I used as the stencil

At a speech Jobs gave at a Stanford University commencement in 2005 he said after being a drop out from the college(in his own words) ,"It wasn’t all romantic. I didn’t have a dorm room, so I slept on the floor in friends’ rooms, I returned coke bottles for the 5¢ deposits to buy food with, and I would walk the 7 miles across town every Sunday night to get one good meal a week at the Hare Krishna temple. I loved it. And much of what I stumbled into by following my curiosity and intuition turned out to be priceless later on." How humble, touching and inspiring !!

He had his own share of struggle and hardships but he never gave up , he kept on going, innovating, inventing and leading all the way through. However as they say,If "Health is lost, something is lost" and the world did too on this very sad day Steve Jobs lost his battle with Cancer and passed away making this world better to live .Though he is no more , his inspirational innovations and contributions will be cherished forever.

Rest iN peace Steve Jobs !!Thanks a lot & the world will miss you always!!

Ironically, his death anniversary falls on a very pious day of Hindus as today starts "Navratri", the nine nights of the festival dedicated to worshipping Hindu goddess, Durga (in nine forms as -Durga,Bhadrakali,Amba,Annapurna,Sarvamangala,Bhairavi,Chandika,Lalita,Bhavani,Mookambika).

As Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said,"Navratri represents how the negativity can be conquered by the inherent positive qualities in an individual so that one emerges as a Divine being."

That says it all :).

Happy Navaratri to all !! :)

Jai Mata Di,
