What is Mango Jelly ?

Mango Jelly is one of the iconic Indian food which is made up of naturally sun dried/dehydrated pulp of Mangoes, sweetened with sugar and or spices to preserve the intense fruit flavor of Mango year around.

Unlike the jellies available in USA ,soft ,sweet/sour and jelly/jiggly-Wiggly like consistency, this Indian style Mango jelly is soft to the bite, chewy yet juicy in texture, sweet to the palate, tangy somewhere, with a tint of sourness ,filling to the stomach ,appetizing and mouth watering in every way.Mango Jelly is more or less a part and parcel of most of the Indian's childhood nostalgic memories.

Whether Mango jelly is made homemade or outside(factories/ready-made by local businessmen) ,it is usually made up of  all-natural ingredients and free of artificial colors and flavors making it quite sought after by young and old equally.Sugar enhances the flavor of Mango that may get dried out while dehydrating under the Sun but it can be eaten in moderation by the diabetic people.

Moreover, the leathery, jelly-like texture, non-stick surface, and long shelf life of Mango Jelly make it an ideal preserved snack that captures the authentic essence of mangoes. It allows foodies to enjoy the rich flavor of mangoes even during seasons when fresh fruit is scarce, satisfying cravings and delighting the taste buds.

Mango-roll

Google says,Mango Jelly is known by many names in different parts of India like Aam Papad/papdi,Mamidi tandra ,Aamta ,Amawat,Aamsotto,Aam satta,Amba vadi,Aamba sadhaa,Maanga thera,Mambla,Aamawat,Aam satta. These names made me LMAO !! Whattttt a coincidence !😃

Usually,Mango jellies are popularly made by grandmothers as a portable healthy fruit infused summer snack especially for their grand kids .Mango Jellies are also widely prepared in the village areas because of the availabilities of varieties of fresh Mangoes and the long open areas to sun dry on a large scale , thereby providing job opportunities especially to the village people.

The origin of Mango Jelly

Mango Jelly is both ancient and colonial .It is speculated that Mango Jellies originated in Uttar Pradesh/Bihar/Rajasthan/Andhra and got influenced by the Anglo-Indian adaptation of fruit preservation techniques during the British rule.Mango Jellies used to be a famous snack of the Mughal era which was and till now is also used as a topping for other recipes.

Mango jelly represents one of the best food preservation technique since ages as this ordinary yet wonderful Mango snack can be prepared once and it can still store the true essence of Mangoes for years and enjoyed edible-y anytime anywhere being a non-perishable food item with least artificial or chemical ingredients and more healthy aspects.

My memory behind the Mango Jelly

Even though I was raised in Bihar/Jharkhand ,I ate Mango Jelly once in a while from grocery stores whenever it was available.

For me, Mango Jelly reminds me of my school days and the summer vacation .During summer vacation, whenever I visited Kerala to meet my grandparents and other relatives,it took 4 days to reach Kerala with a stop over in Madras/now modern Chennai .Thankfully, then came our direct train service from the city I grew up in,B.S.City to Alleppey that took only 3 days to reach Kerala with no stopover .This train journey used to be so funfilled and memorable that till today whenever I visit India,I travel in train to rekindle and relive those carefree days.

Almost every Malayalee (natives of Kerala) from our school and our family friends would be in that train ,which would be so enjoyable.Everybody exchanging homemade foods and eating together, gossiping ,joking, smiling, laughing and the only time when we saw our mothers especially taking rest completely.

On the second day,I would look forward to reach the Vishakapatnam and Vijayawada station, the platform would be full of stalls to vendors-on-go selling varieties of Mango Jellies .Those huge bars of Mango Jellies made me so happy. The train would stop at these stations for 30 minutes plus .The travelers would be eager to get out to refresh themselves buying this and that and mainly busy to fill their water bottle and my father would make sure that he would buy me the huge bar of a Mango Jelly for sure.It would last till night.I thoroughly enjoyed it.

After my wedding I told my husband so many times this story that whenever he would come across a Mango Jelly he would remind me to buy it because I love it that much.

So,long story short,Mango Jelly still makes me chuckle like a kid and munch like a child.Mango Jelly kinda reminds me to never grow up,it is a scam :D

How is Mango Jelly prepared

Mango-jelly

I really thought it is a herculean task to prepare Mango Jellies.I never even thought it can be prepared at home up until I came across many Youtube videos showing homemade Mango Jellies .Understanding the science behind the preparation of Mango Jellies,as always I wanted to experiment and make quick and easy homemade Mango Jelly recipe.

Basically, this preserved delicacy is prepared by pureeing especially the ripest Mangoes and simmering the ripe Mango pulp with sugar and or spices until thickened, spreading it thinly on trays and letting it get its sun tanning session, basking under sun rays, until it reduces to a thin, translucent film. The sheets of dehydrating Mango are covered with fine netting to protect against any dust and bugs while allowing air circulation and sun drying until the Mango mixture achieves a leathery texture and non-stick surface.Dry Dry Baby!

The outcome is a leathery jelly-juicy form of Mango,non-perishable ,portable, available on demand and yummy asf ...oops...I am excited ! It's like saying Mango don't go ,that is bottom line, THE MANGO JELLY !

Nowadays, when sun rays are not enough or being in a non-sunny area,Mango jelly lovers are preparing the same Mango Jelly recipe even in oven/air fryer but it takes frigging 3 hours at least to reach that leathery chewy yet soft see-through Jelly consistency.

So,that's the basic way of preparing Mango Jelly .However,my curious mind and lazy-to-cook but I-want-MangoJelly-attitude made me to try/experiment something no frizz ,no labour Mango Jelly recipe where I just have to buy few things but the real work will be done by the ra/the Sun.

Another reason why I love Mango Jellies.I came out with a no cook Mango Jelly recipe.Surya Dev Namo namaha/Hail to the the Sun God!

How I made Mango Jelly at home ?

Homemade Mango Jelly

Ingredients

Readymade Mango Pulp 2 Cans (850 Gm each I used)
Steel Plates 2 Nos
Ghee,a bit to grease (optional)
Lotttsssss of Sunlight

How to make Instant/Quick and Easy Mango Jelly at home

  1. Remove the lid of the readymade Mango Pulp can carefully.
  2. Grease the plates with bit of ghee/oil.Don't over do it or it may affect the taste, just a bit which will help in peeling off/removing the dehydrated Mango Pulp from the plate properly without sticking to the plate and spoiling the shape.
  3. Pour it into the steel plates /any plates .
  4. Put the plates with Mango pulp under the sun.
  5. Cover it with a food net to keep any dust or bugs out.
  6. Depending upon the intensity of the sunlight,it may take days to get dehydrated properly.Keep an eye every now and then.
  7. Once it gets dry up/dehydrated and becomes hard to touch.
  8. Insert a toothpick or a knife/fork to make sure the Mango pulp is dehydrated and dried from within as well.
  9. Once the Mango pulp is dehydrated, using a knife or likewise try to go around the edges to the bottom to gently remove the dehydrated Mango pulp aptly without breaking it.
  10. Once removed, place the dehydrated Mango Pulp on a plain surface safe and comfortable enough to cut into desired shapes.
  11. I cut them into layers of dehydrated Mango Pulp to arrange it to look like exactly the Mango Bar we get at the store. With leftover slices/pieces ,I turned them into Mango candies'/toffee and Mango Roll as shown in the Mango Jelly video above.
  12. That's it my  quick and easy Mango Jellies are ready to eat.
  13. Eat it as it is or use it as a topping for desserts and ice cream.
Yep,that's how easy it is to cook my version of no-effort Mango jelly at home.Because the readymade Mango pulp has enough sugar added with citric acid as the preservative which is not that bad for health and it prolongs the shelf life of the Mango jelly being made, which when kept under the Sun for days eventually turns into a Mango jelly automatically and guess what it tastes exactly the Mango Jelly I used to buy during my childhood days/store version Mango Jelly. What more can I ask for !

Surya-Dev

By the way,all these days I saw Mango getting Sun-tanned and I was compelled to fight with ants/aka urumbu in Malayalam aka chitti in Hindi ....they wanted my homemade Mango Jelly more than me it seems ...Bingo,what a coincidence ! Well, watch out !

Anyways,Thank you Sun God for cooking/taking care of my this Mango recipe ,with hardly any effort from my side.Glory to the Divine !

By the by,this post is just my way of expressing how much I love this food,Mango Jelly .Genuinely speaking,it is not a metaphor in any way .I had a Mango Pulp can I bought last year which I just thought of experimenting it to see what it will become if I keep it under Sun,will it turn into a quickie Mango Jelly or not ?

NOTE: { Like I mentioned in my previous videos, whether you call it fancy dress, mono acting, or simply wearing kimonos and sarees, my intention has never been to judge anyone. My only aim is to encourage people—especially those who may be as trusting or naive as I once was—to stay safe and be cautious. It's always better to be safe than sorry.

As long as everything is based on free will and mutual consent, the choice is entirely personal.

I mentioned about my first virtual encounter with the celebrities concerned or related (who, of course, need no introduction) in my blog as a token of gratitude. What started as that experience eventually spread far beyond what I had imagined, evolving into a global meet-up phenomenon. After witnessing a few unfortunate incidents and harmful repercussions, I felt a responsibility to raise awareness and encourage safety in situations involving people, fan interactions, hit-and-greet events, meet-ups, dating, and similar gatherings.

Beyond sharing that awareness, the decisions people make are ultimately their own. }

Faith over Fear /Good vs evil

However,as I was deciding what to post next in my blog,my Mango jelly (the first experiment) was getting sun-tanned and then I bought fresh Mangoes of the season and I saw a Mango with a mini butt/A** shaped thingy on it's back which made me lol .I felt a nudge/heads up from my Spiritual team to post my version of Mango Jelly recipe for sure .And since it was a no-cooking version recipe and being the die hard fan of the Mango Jelly,I humbly obliged to do so.Mango Jelly undoubtedly, deserves a place in my blog for sure.(Seriously,no offense ,I am just trying to understand the depth of the spiritual meaning behind that if any !) (Also,Clearing the rumor, nothing happened to anyone's ars* !)

Bottomline, due to the trend of misunderstanding going on , there is no other specific meaning per se but if you still insist,it may mean "ManGO ..jelly why" (to whoever it may concern ,in whatever way)...I don't mean to say all men are after me :D but frankly speaking a few hater/cult/coven/warlock/witches/Bitc*** (excuse my language, somethings can't be sweetened) may be the only one who may need to hear that .The reason is in the video.Because someone is manipulating/playing smart in my energy and trying hard to distract me and slow down in everyway.Call it witchcraft/Black Magic/Mental illusionist trickster /Psychological play master /Astral Traveller,I wonder what makes them think they can control me when they can't control themselves aptly. To this Psycho clever gang ...loud and clear ! (Refer the picture above !)

By the way,who can see with their divya drishti/spiritual eyes, who is hijacking my aura ??

Whenever I feel their dirty energy around me ,I console myself thinking they are here for the Bhagwati Seva..Let them serve me until Divine justice happens.....:D..However,whoever is behind all these sh** ,you all will regret big time .By Divine's grace this too shall pass soon in my best interest ! In God/Divine I trust ! Amen to that !

Galatians 6:7, states: “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he/she also reap”.

God is my strength ! OmParaShakthi Namo !

They say,my light irritates them but to be frank because of my light even my enemies are shining all over. Some were kind enough to say,I may be a dark Divine Feminine though......And nope I don't need any kind of living sacrifices....Infact the animals in the red saree I am wearing probably represents the animals in real life my enemies have sacrificed to carry out their witchcrafts on me and other innocent people and my gut instinct says, they got liberation but my enemies won't though.

Even though my enemies intention is to drive me crazy by hook or by crook,by Divine's grace I am perfectly doing well and I will always be because my conscience and intentions are pure and nice. So,God forbid,I am not schizophrenic in any way ,this is being a part of being the anointed/The Chosen one by the light and the dark forces .

I believe in God/Divine !

Talking about the witchcraft,I saw an entity or the devil/Satan himself with only his head in my restroom (I remember I was listening to Kaal Bhairav baba ashtakam/Prethnath where he is standing with a devil's head in his hand).

Since Satan is very genius and he was like "between me and you" ,so I am not sure since he appeared in my home's restroom  ,if he wanted to keep it a secret. But Devil is hated by all except his followers/worshippers ,and me  ? ,as I call myself one of the daughter of Lord Shiva and Maa Durga/Parvathi and my Divine father is known as "Bhoothnath",King/ruler of Gods and Demons and so is my Divine Mother,Shamshaana Kali,I kind of have a soft corner for the one I saw in my restroom.

My Faith/love for Divine !

I saw a devil's head with blood stained teeth, horrifying indeed,I ignored first but I saw it anyways and the moment I looked at the devil,he moved his head representing a slap and disappeared.I really felt, him saying "Venegeance is mine !" .

Not only that,I am fond of horror movies and whenever I watch one,I feel like devil giving me a hint of my enemies mode of operation and I was suggested to buy an excorcist book and other related book while watching a movie which I never thought of before.Afterall,Lucifer is a fallen angel into the abyss of darkness.I am kind of appreciating the one I saw in my restroom 💩and also the one I saw in my prayer room...

I remember hearing something running upstairs while I was praying in my prayer room.I prayed to Lord Hanuman whom all evil/darkness is scared off and I felt a warmth in my heart area I've never experienced before .Since then I am listening to Bajrang Baan !Hanuman Ji ki Jai ho !

I've also seen footprints of what looked like a child's on my rooftop next to my upstair bedroom window while it was snowing hard that day.It didn't look like any animal's footprint .My husband also saw.

Believe it or not ,I am kind of excited to share all these surreal experiences and sad at the same time that I have to go through such horror ..anyways,this is especially for my records being a spiritual warrior.#SexualORSpiritualAssasination

And just so you know,I am not into any kind of witchcraft/black magic and I am under constant observation and stalked in everyway.I don't make up all these things ,just sharing my experiences as it is.

I believe in Divine and I pray sincerely !

So,to my haters beyond limit,oh S ,Man/woMan GO ,please don't be a jelly-bully ! I am a busy bee in my own dignified way and I work hard organically to earn everything in my life by Divine's grace . I never chased anyone for anything and will never ,then why are you all chasing me to harass me for no reason .Be my friend/atleast be a human to me with no benefits or GO/Leave and let live !

When it comes to me ,I appreciate people who earn something out of real hard work organically !That's inspiring. Otherwise, confidence leaves no room for jealousy.

Anyways, people and situations may be disappointing and should go but my no cook Mango jelly recipe won't disappoint you and you won't let it go it either.Give it a try and you will leave people working hard to make this food ,jelly forever.

After all, if there is any reason to soothe the heat and welcome summer, it is the fact that delectables like these can be prepared especially with the seasonal fruits within the comfort of our home and enjoyed freshly with our loved ones  !

Rest in next.

Take care.

Pray hard !(Even the mention of Divine's name will be lifesaving/worth !)

Stay happy and smiling !
